You are like God to your Pharaoh

Exodus 7:1 And the Lord said to Moses, “See I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet.”

Who are we? I mean we who have saved by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Knowing who we are will give us energy to live as who we are. In the bible its mentioned about Moses that God make him like God to Pharaoh.

As a child of God redeemed by the blood of His begotten Son Jesus Christ, we are called to be like God on devil. The only thing that devil doing is distorting the truth so that we think that he still has power on us.  The very simple truth is he has defeated on Calvary some 2000 years ago. That is the deal. His only power is lying as in John 8 says, “he is a liar and the father of lies.”

How far do you know who you are in Christ? How far are you using your authority over this world? How far does your faith will take you? That is why Jesus told to the disciples in Luke 8:25 “Where is your faith?” In other part of the scripture Jesus said “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustered seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”

Do you really know who you are in Christ? We have to have faith in who we are in Christ. We are not just ordinary people after we have save by the blood of Jesus. We have an authority on devil. Knowing that and believing who gave us that authority is vital in our day-to-day life. Luke 9:1 says, “When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.”

To know who we are, we should come to the understanding of who we are by renewing our mind. Romans 12:2 says “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” An interesting read on scripture is present in Romans 8:1-17. The last verses proclaim this, “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”
When you look yourself through Jesus Christ, in Colossians 2:10 it says, "And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].

Who are we in Christ?
1.     We are free from the law of sin and death: Romans 8:2
2.     We are far from oppression, and fear does not come near us: Isaiah 54:14
3.     We are born of God, and the evil one does not touch us: 1 John 5:18
4.     We are holy and without blame before Him in love: Ephesians 1:4; 1 Peter 1:16
5.   We have the Greater One living in us; greater is He Who is in us than he who is in the world: 1 John 4:4
6.     We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ unto good works: Ephesians 2:10
7.     We are more than a conqueror through Him Who loves us: Romans 8:37
8.     We are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony: Revelation 12:11
9.     We are partakers of His divine nature: 2 Peter 1:3-4
10. We are ambassadors for Christ: 2 Corinthians 5:20
11. We are part of a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people: 1 Peter 2:9
12. For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, love, and a sound mind: 2 Timothy 1:7
13. We are redeemed from the curse of sin, sickness, and poverty: Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Galatians 3:13
14. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit; We are not our own: 1 Corinthians 6:19

When God spoke to Moses at mount Herob (the mountain of God) in Exodus 3, and asked him to go to Pharaoh Moses said in Exodus 3:11 “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” On the next verse God told to Moses, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” It is because of God’s presence that Moses became like God to Pharaoh.

And it is because of Christ who lives in us we become who we are that listed above. Even more God spoke to Moses in Exodus 7:1 that He made him like God to Pharaoh. God make us like God to our Pharaoh just because what Christ did for us at Calvary so let us not allow our enemy to tell us the opposite.

The Hidden Treasure

For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. -2 Corinthians 4:5-7

Treasure is a concentration of riches, often one which is considered lost or forgotten until being rediscovered.

Searching for hidden treasure is a common theme in legend and fiction; real-life treasure hunters also exist, and can seek lost wealth for a living.
-From Wikipedia

1. Rediscovering yourself and identifying who you are and what is hidden in you, is a great deal of truth in Christianity.

The Lord your God commands you this day to follow these decrees and laws; carefully observe them with all your heart and with all your soul. You have declared this day that the Lord is your God and that you will walk in obedience to him, that you will keep his decrees, commands and laws—that you will listen to him. And the Lord has declared this day that you are his people, his treasured possession as he promised, and that you are to keep all his commands. – Deuteronomy 26:16-18

2. Knowing that you are God’s treasured possession will make a difference in the way you see yourself.

Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name.

“On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not. - Malachi 3:16-18

3. God not only said that we are his hidden treasures but also He will give us a hidden treasure.

I will give you hidden treasures,
riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name. - Isaiah 45:3 (all)

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. – Matthew 6:19-21

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.” – Matthew 13:44

Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” – Matthew 19:21

4. God wants us to sell or throw what we think we have so that we can be able to look for the hidden treasure that He wants to give us.

Philip Yancey
Satan's power is external and coercive. God's power, in contrast, is internal and non-coercive. Such power may seem at times like weakness. The Master of Universe become its victim, powerless before a squad of soldiers in a garden. God became weak for one purpose: to let human beings choose freely for themselves what to do with him.

5. God wants us to closely consider what He is doing in in our life. Don’t ever think that things happened accidentally. There is no accident with God. You are not an accident. The life that you have been through and will go through is not an accident.

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. –Luke 2:19

Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. –Luke 2:51-52

6. What is happening now will give you a confidence to obey God in the future, but for that you should treasured them in your heart all the things that He has done in your life.

On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.  When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”

“Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.
Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”
They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. –John 5:1-11

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. –Hebrews 11:24-27

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith.
Grace be with you all. -1 Timothy 6:17-21

7. The most important hidden treasure that we should be boosting to have is Jesus Christ the Messiah.

I want you to know how hard I am contending for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally. My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is. – Colossians 2:1-5
